This route is of great environmental value in most of its route, the protected area of the Natura 2000 network.
It is a path full of history, in which we find ancient saladeros, source of wealth and labor of the people for centuries, and the archaeological remains of Adro Vello, located just three meters above sea level on the edge of the beach O Carreiro. Here the excavation showed, in layers, a Roman villa in which traces of salted fish were found, a necropolis, plant a Visigoth church, and elements of a fortification of the Middle Ages that served as protection against possible attackers they arrived by sea.
The early church, due to frequent raids of pirates and sea shock, was taken in the s. XVIII to a safer place, which is currently occupied by the church of San Vicente
