Sanxenxo and its coast are the preferred holiday destination for many vacationers, not only in Galicia, but the rest of Spain.

South Rias Baixas presents a warm and gentle atmospheric conditions than the northern part, concentrated high levels of population and are favorite destination for holiday makers. The municipality of Sanxenxo offers a high concentration of beaches of the highest quality, as Montalvo and Lanzada, being the municipality with more blue flags in Spain from 2004 to the present, and of course, in the summer especially, has a wide range of leisure facilities, water sports, and gastronomy.

Leaving behind Sanxenxo, the drive along the coast of the Pontevedra estuary goes along a twisty road that offer a large number of beaches and natural landscapes in which to stop for a swim or just a good photograph

Combarro

Before arriving in Pontevedra, an essential stop is the town of Combarro. This small fishing village is very peculiar, both the architecture and location of their homes, as the high concentration of granaries recorded in such a small space.

Pontevedra

Pontevedra, capital of the Rias Baixas, completely renovated has overcome its past industrial city to become a valuable tourist destination, with the square of the Firewood, as a hub for its interesting and lively old town of medieval origin.

Recommended a visit to the Provincial Museum to see some of the most important collections of northern Spain, including the famous Treasure of Caldas composed of a large number of gold pieces pre-Roman art.

Region of Morrazo, Cangas, Bueu

From Pontevedra to Cangas, this road trip could well be called the route of the beaches, as the region of Morrazo can claim to be a paradise for lovers of sun and sea.

Both Bueu and Cangas, its main tourist resorts are preferred by tourists to spend their holidays, the entire coast is covered with crowded campsites and small hotels where you can enjoy the beauty and warmth of this part of the Rias Baixas

Ria de Vigo

We leave behind the Pontevedra estuary to now enter the estuary of Vigo. Most caracterísitco the paiseaje is that the river is dotted with rafts for growing mussels and always with bright blue characteristic of these waters.

Vigo

Vigo is the largest city in Galicia, and also its main industrial center. However, the origin of this city is linked with the sea, which is particularly noticeable in the old town, great marine flavor. Especially in the neighborhood of O Bervés, there are many establishments where you can taste dishes based on fish and seafood, with the "street oysters" the most popular with tourists, because it is where the selling oysters come together to offer passersby fresh oysters accompanied by a glass of albariño wine, are an excellent delicacy.

Baiona

Baiona was the port where the Pinta arrived in 1493 to give news of the discovery of America. Today it is a beautiful fishing village very touristy in summer and an attractive old town declared a set of historical and artistic interest in 1993.

From Bayonne can continue route to the town of A Guarda, famous among other things for the quality of their lobster, and the proximity of Mount Santa Tecla, with the most popular castreño settlement of Galicia with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and Coast From Portugal.
